Aboriginal Friendship Centres Cultural Humility Training
Levis Tech built a workshop registration website and backend portal for Aboriginal Friendship Centres Cultural Humility Training, helping the organization manage workshops, registrations, facilitators, resources, communication, calendars, surveys, and reporting from one system.
Overview
Aboriginal Friendship Centres offers cultural humility training workshops for different programs and audiences. The website allows the organization to define workshops and let participants register online, either as individuals or as organizations. Behind the public website, the backend portal helps staff manage workshop planning and facilitator coordination. Facilitators are the people who work with the organization to run the workshops. The portal gives staff a cloud-based way to assign workshops to facilitators, track upcoming sessions, share resources, communicate with facilitators, and manage workshop follow-up. The system also supports reporting, giving staff visibility into how many workshops were delivered, what types of workshops were offered, how many participants registered, and other useful program activity details.
The Challenge
Workshop-based programs require coordination between staff, facilitators, participants, schedules, resources, registration details, and follow-up activities. Without a centralized system, communication with facilitators can become scattered across email or manual tracking, and it can be difficult to know which workshops are assigned, which facilitators are involved, and what resources or participant information need to be shared. The organization also needed a better way to collect registration information and report on workshop activity throughout the year.
The Solution
Levis Tech developed a public-facing website connected to a backend portal. On the public side, participants can view available workshops and register either as individuals or on behalf of an organization. On the administrative side, staff can define workshops, manage registrations, assign facilitators, view upcoming workshops in a calendar, communicate with facilitators, and share resources such as meeting links, PowerPoint files, and other workshop materials. The portal also helps staff access participant lists, send survey links after workshops, and generate detailed reports on workshop activity, workshop types, and participant numbers.
