QA Software Tester Intern

Internship with opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position

Levis Tech is looking for a motivated QA Software Tester Intern to join our development team in Saskatoon.

We build custom software applications and our own SaaS platform, FoodCopia, which helps food banks and other food-security organizations manage inventory, ordering, distribution, and client programs.

This role is a great opportunity for someone early in their technology career who wants hands-on experience working alongside an experienced software development team. You’ll learn how modern software is tested, released, documented, and continuously improved while contributing to real products used by organizations across Canada and the United States.

Required Eligibility

This position is connected to a funded employment program. To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be 30 years of age or younger
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be currently located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
  • Be able to work in person at our Saskatoon office

These are mandatory eligibility requirements. Applications from candidates who do not meet all the criteria above will not be considered.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with our developers and project team, you will:

  • Test new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web-based software applications
  • Create and execute structured test plans and test cases
  • Identify, document, and reproduce software bugs
  • Perform regression testing before software releases
  • Test applications across different browsers, devices, user roles, and workflows
  • Help verify that completed development meets project requirements
  • Improve internal QA documentation and testing processes
  • Assist with the development of automated software testing as your skills progress
  • Work directly with our development team to understand how software moves from concept through development, testing, and deployment
  • Gain exposure to SaaS products, custom software projects, APIs, databases, and software development workflows

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of professional experience. We’re looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in building a career in technology.

You may be a recent graduate or early-career candidate with education or experience in areas such as:

  • Computer Science
  • Software Development
  • Information Technology
  • Software Testing / Quality Assurance
  • Computer Engineering
  • A related technical program

You should be comfortable working with computers and web applications and have a strong ability to notice details, investigate problems, and clearly communicate what you find.

Some programming, database, API, or automated-testing experience would be an asset, but it is not required.

This is an internship and professional-development position, but we are looking for someone we can invest in for the long term.

For the right person, our intention is for the internship to provide a pathway toward a permanent full-time position with Levis Tech as our development team and software products continue to grow.

The role will provide significant hands-on mentorship and an opportunity to develop practical software QA skills while working on real production software.

Levis Tech is a Saskatoon-based software development company specializing in custom web applications, SaaS platforms, inventory and operational software, and system integrations.

Our team works on projects ranging from custom applications for businesses and organizations to FoodCopia, our growing food-bank inventory, ordering, and client-management platform.

We’re a small, experienced development team, which means you won’t be sitting on the sidelines. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with developers, company leadership, real clients, and production software.
